NCLEX BOOT CAMP Day One, Week Five

Welcome back to week five of your boot camp! By now most of you should have a solid study regimen in place and hopefully you are gaining a considerable amount of momentum towards completing your goals. You should have your mind set on one thing, and one thing only, passing the NCLEX. That’s the exact mentality I want from you! Still, there will always be events out of our control that you cannot predict. In life, it is often these events that can hinder us the most.

Life tends to throw us curve balls just when everything seems to be on track. I’m sure each one of you can relate to that. Just when you think you have everything figured out, something comes along that brings your perfect world crashing down. Unlike barriers, which we discussed in week two, you can never truly prepare for these events. I wish I could give you a definitive list of tips that would help you overcome everything you will face, but everyone will face different difficulties. I can, however, assure you that you are not alone.

Here are some excerpts taken from emails I have received since the beginning of boot camp:

“I’m a little disappointed in myself. I fell off the Bootcamp. It’s been so easy to get distracted.”

“I really need your help and support on how can I manage my proper way of review.”

“This is tougher than I thought. I need to talk to you every day, Regina can you move in with me lol?

I’m sure each of you out there can relate to at least one of the above statements. Maybe even all of them. We’ll never be able to control how life plays out entirely. That’s just a fact of life. There will always be events that will remain unforeseen and pop up when you least expect them. I’m here to tell you it’s not the end of the world. Just breathe and do your very best to power through those moments.

Anytime you are presented with one of those unforeseen events that is tearing your life apart, I want you to keep telling yourself that this interruption is only temporary. Tell yourself that it will be over in a day, week, or month and things will go back to normal. Then try your best to get back on track. I know that’s easier said than done when facing some things alone.

That’s why today I want to talk about unity among my students. We may not know one another personally. We may come from varying backgrounds, locales, and ethnicities, but we are all united in the sense that we are all focused on achieving the same goal. That goal is passing your NCLEX and beginning your new career. So, because of that, I want to establish and promote a sense of togetherness among you, my students.

When I hold my live events, or make posts on social media, talk amongst yourselves and share my posts with your fellow nursing classmates. Share your own stories with one another and help others overcome the obstacles you’ve previously overcame. Share study tips and strategies that have worked for you, and maybe even form virtual study groups? The possibilities are endless. Band together in your common struggle and help me help you in any way I can. I don’t want ReMar Review to just be a resource you use to pass the NCLEX, I want it to be the last resource you will ever need before passing the NCLEX and starting your nursing career. I care about the future of each one of you, so now it’s time to show you care as well.

I have no doubt that times will get tough, if not during this program, they most certainly will afterwards. Overcoming barriers, both unforeseen and foreseeable, is just another part of life. How you choose to rise above and power through, is up to you.

As always, I’m here for each of you. If you want to speak about some of the unforeseen events that have popped up during your studies, or anything at all about my program, just reach out to me. You can contact me anytime on Facebook or by email at Support@ReMarReview.com. I’ll see you all next Monday!
